Driving Directions

Take I-95 to I-295 (Exit 44) in Portland, Maine.  I-295 is quicker and has fewer tolls than I-95 and will merge with I-95 again just south of Augusta.  Once back on I-95 continue to I-395 (Exit 182A) in Bangor.  Take I-395, about two miles to Route 1A.  Head south on Route 1A towards Ellsworth where it will merge with Route 3.  Continue straight through Ellsworth on Route 3 until you reach Mount Desert Island.  There is a traffic light at the head of Mount Desert Island; continue straight onto Route 102.  Following Route 102 will take you to another set of lights.  Proceed straight through them and you will be in the village of Somesville where the speed limit is 25 mph.  It is enforced.  In 5 to 10 minutes you will enter Southwest Harbor.  About 1/2 a mile past Southwest Harbor, turn left onto Route 102A (Seawall Rd) and continue 2.5 miles to the Seawall Motel.
